Remote Monitoring & Reporting
of Sensor Data
Four Plans to Serve You
|
|
|
DirectCom™
Direct Data Communications
|
|
Data From...- Your Sensor
...directly to... - Your Computer.
|
DirectCom allows industrial operators and/or their Suppliers — to keep track of changes remotely,
through ESI DirectCom software installed on their own computer,
to receive data directly from their sensors, through an inexpensive modem
or other data-communications connection at their computer, adapted for communications with their sensors.
(This commonly includes direct-wired RS-232 serial or Ethernet connections, or ordinary telephone landline).
Sophisticated features in our DirectCom software
allow you to track the usage history of consumables in one or multiple locations,
helping you anticipate your needs and evaluate your asset-management options in a timely manner —
reducing wasted time and effort, and preventing critical outages,
while simultaneously minimizing your purchasing requirements.
For CONSUMERS of bulk commodities, this means always having what you need, when you need it —
without tying up money in more consumables than you need.
For VENDORS & DISTRIBUTORS of bulk commodities,
this means a more efficient and reliable operation — keeping your customers happy,
while minimizing your own inventory requirements, and reducing wasted miles of
traveling to check on things.
This level of information allows vendors to establish "vendor-managed inventory" (VMI) agreements
with customers, where the vendor assumes responsibility for monitoring and managing the customers' assets — assuring customers of a reliable, efficient supply of commodities, while the vendors can enjoy
stable customer contracts, and can make the most efficient and profitable use of their time, energy and resources.
VMI, via ESI DirectCom, is a "Win-Win" solution for bulk commodities vendors AND consumers.

CloudCom™
Online Data Monitoring & Analysis
|
|
Data From...- Your Sensor
...to... - ESI's Data Center "Cloud"
...to... - Your Internet Browser or Device.
|
CloudCom™
is ESI's online data service, similar to DirectCom,
allowing you many of the monitoring, inventory analysis, and signaling functions of DirectCom,
through the ESI Data Center
website.
Customers have password-protected access
to their own private data section on the ESI website, around the clock.
Customers or Distributors can access their data securely from any internet connection, anywhere, anytime
— even from handheld devices (like internet-enabled touch-tablets and "smart" phones)
— providing an unrivaled level of flexibility and freedom in managing your resources,
— whether at your home base, in the field, or away on business.
With its go-anywhere versatility, and availability of VMI-type functions
anywhere that you have an internet signal, CloudCom allows you to manage your routing in real time,
enabling you to respond quickly to changing conditions
— reducing wasted time, effort and resources — radically improving the efficiency and profitability
of your assets & related activity. |

VPDM:
Voice
Phone
Data
Monitoring
|
|
Data From...- Your Sensor
...to... - ESI's Data Center
...to... - Your Telephone.
|
VPDM allows you to remotely receive remote data and alerts, by (automated) voice, via telephone (landline or cellular), through ESI's Data Center.
VPDM allows you to know what's going on with your sensors without having to be with them.
Data transmitted from your sensor-monitoring instruments can be routed to the ESI Data Center, where our computerized systems signal you by automated voice, via telephone (landline or cellular) when your sensors reach pre-defined levels that concern you. (You choose those levels, yourself, when setting up or adjusting your VPDM data service.)
VPDM is the simple solution, avoiding the complexities of computer or smart phone use, providing ready access to your data by anyone.you authorize who can use a voice telephone (landline, basic cell phone, or smart phone).
Your cellphone can alert you anywhere in your phone service area. With this go-anywhere versatility, RDM allows you to manage your activity on the go, enabling you to respond quickly to changing conditions, avoiding outages and "surprises," and reducing wasted time and effort.

RDF:
Raw
Data
Forwarding
|
|
Data From...- Your Sensor
...to... - ESI's Data Center
...to... - Your Computer System.
|
RDF allows you use ESI's sophisticated data-communications assets and ESI's Data Center to receive your sensor data — even from diverse types of sensors and monitors, using various communications methods — and then forward it on to your own computer system through a standard data link (via landline or cellular telecom, or via internet link).
RDF allows you to integrate your sensors' data into YOUR own software applications (proprietary, custom, or commercial) — in whatever data arrangement YOUR own computer specialist prefers to develop.
This raw data resource allows your organization to follow its own established protocols, methods and routines for the handling of inventory data, while allowing you to leverage the vast array of monitoring and communications resources available from ESI -- including data backup and recovery, power backup, and data-translation options.
